More Housing – Plus, are high rates holding buyers back?
As of January 1, 2017, California has a new law in place that will allow homeowners to move toward creating income suites in their existing single family home! This could be a huge deal as it will supposedly override local ordinances that have prevented home owners from making these kinds of improvements in the past. In short, it will help create a grass roots way to provide more housing.
It also make it possible for folks to jump into real estate investment and provide more housing without having to buy a property – but just remodel the one they already have!
We will also talk about the effect of rates on buyers and a bit of a shocking number from Fannie Mae!
